Śavāsana as Corpse Pose: Practicing Death, Honoring Life

Sunday, October 25, 2026 | 3:00–5:30 PM

As autumn deepens and nature begins its steady turn toward darkness, we, too, are invited to turn inward and reflect on cycles of life and death – endings, transitions, and release.

In many traditions, this is a threshold time: Samhain (Celtic), Día de Muertos (Mexico), All Hallows (Europe), Pitri Paksha (India), and more. It is said that the veil between worlds grows thin, reminding us of impermanence – of how everything, from the falling leaves to our own breath, is part of a larger cycle.

The coming darkness is not only an ending, but a sacred space of becoming – an invitation to release what no longer serves and reclaim what matters most.

We will begin our gathering with a special rooftop* cacao and fire ritual, creating space for reflection, forgiveness, and intentional release. Cacao has long been used ceremonially to open the heart and support deep listening, making it a perfect companion for this work. Together, we’ll acknowledge what we are ready to let go of and honor what we wish to carry forward before moving further into the practice.

From there, we’ll return to the indoor studio and transition into an extended Restorative Yoga and meditation practice centered around śavāsana, which translates to corpse pose – a sacred rehearsal for surrender.

Through supported stillness, we’ll explore the practice of letting go with tenderness and curiosity, while honoring the preciousness of this embodied life.

Central to the practice will be an extended guided meditation from Stephen Levine’s influential book, A Year to Live, inviting us to contemplate death – the ultimate inevitable – with presence and grace.

Join us as we honor the wisdom and lessons of impermanence, soften our grip on what we cannot control, and rest in what endures.

All bodies welcome, regardless of yoga experience. We will be on the floor for the majority of this event. Wear cozy layers and bring socks and your favorite blanket.

*Please note: The first half hour of this event will be held outdoors on the rooftop for the cacao ritual – rain or shine (except in the case of severe weather). Dress appropriately, and please bring a raincoat/umbrella, if the weather merits.

Investment: $95

Coming Soon - Winter 2026

Yoga Therapy + Cacao

Created by yoga therapist Nicole Bratt and cacao practitioner Christina Sanini, The Reset Circle brings together two complementary practices in a way that is intentional and deeply restorative.

What to Expect

Gentle Yoga with Nicole Bratt

We'll begin with a sweet practice designed to help you release the momentum of your week and reconnect with your breath, body, and inner awareness. Rather than focusing on fitness or flexibility, this practice offers an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and arrive fully in the present moment.

Cacao Served in Ritual with Christina Sanini

From that grounded foundation, we'll move through a thoughtfully guided cacao ritual. We will sip cacao from Mesoamerica, learn her origin story, and practice presence with intention.

Together we'll create space for reflection, connection, and an inward focus, allowing the experience to unfold with curiosity and an open heart.

Dates and Seattle, WA location coming soon.

Gentle Yoga with Nicole Bratt

Yoga was always intended to be more than exercise – it’s a creative, holistic pathway toward balanced well-being. It honors the whole person: body, breath, mind, heart, energy, and beyond.

Cacao Served in Ritual with Christina Sanini

When cacao is served in ritual, it becomes more than a warm beverage—it becomes a gateway to the heart. With each sip, you will slow down, connect inward, and feel a gentle sense of happiness, euphoria, and personal empathy.

Sound Meditation with Ariana Will

Enter a deep state of meditation surrounded by notes and vibrations from traditional Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other unique instruments. These sounds provide a steady focal point that quiets mental chatter and anchors awareness.

Cacao + Fire Ritual | March 21, 2026

Cacao Served in Ritual

We will gather fire side to work with the duality of masculine and feminine. Starting with intention, the ritual will begin with tuning into nature and lighting grandfather fire. As we tune into the energy of the day, each participant will write down what no longer serves them and place it into the fire. This transition of letting go, allows us to create space for the feminine energy of cacao. With each sip, you will slow down, connect inward, and feel a gentle sense of happiness, euphoria, and personal empathy. The ritual is complete when the fire has turned off and the cacao has integrated.

Yoga Therapy: The Koshas

Yoga was always intended to be more than exercise – it’s a creative, holistic pathway toward balanced well-being. It honors the whole person: body, breath, mind, heart, energy, and beyond. In this session, Nicole Bratt (C-IAYT, E-RYT 500) will introduce yoga’s kosha model – a lens for witnessing and supporting every layer of your being – followed by a gentle, grounding, therapeutic practice to help you reconnect with your whole self and attune to your inner listening. You’ll leave feeling centered, open, and ready for the cacao ritual that follows.

No yoga experience is necessary; all bodies are welcome. Dress in comfortable layers and bring a cozy blanket and an eye cover.

Sound Meditation

Enter a deep state of meditation surrounded by notes and vibrations from traditional Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other unique instruments. These sounds provide a steady focal point that quiets mental chatter and anchors awareness. Their vibrations send waves of energy through the body, stimulating cellular resonance and amplifying energetic intentions. With practice, this state of stillness encourages the brain to build new, healthy neural pathways and release patterns that no longer serve you.
